A MESSAGE FROM OUR FIRST ELDER, JOUDIE WEEKES ABOUT THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
March 17, 2020
Greetings Church family,
As you all know we are facing a national pandemic that has called an adjustment in how we worship and live. The state of Pennsylvania has called for no gathering greater than 50 and some officials said even 10. So, in light of that, all church programs will be suspended until further notice. I want to encourage all of you that while the events of the last few weeks have been worrisome for some of us, please remember that God is still on the throne and is in control. We are reminded to put our trust in God in times like these. I would also encourage each member to pray for the world, God’s mercy is needed now more than ever for all of us.
Please remember to take every precaution when going out if there is a need. One of the blessings that we have in a time like this is we can still communicate face to face with video chat either on Facebook or WhatsApp or one of the other social media platforms. So even though you may be home reach and keep that Allentown fellowship alive.
The passage below say we are to trust in Him at all times. Now is the perfect time to draw closer God than you ever did before. Take the time that you have now that your spending more time at home to get in a closer relationship with your Maker and Creator. We can do one of two things in this situation, worry or get closer to God. I would encourage the latter because it can only enhance your life.
Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
I pray that God will cover us all with his protection.
I am also including a list of streaming services that can aid you in your worship.
